The presidential inauguration offers all members of the UNLV community an opportunity to unite in a common purpose, reflect on the past, and envision a bright future. The academic regalia and other ceremonial objects used during inaugurations and major university events, such as commencement, can be traced to the world's oldest institutions of higher learning.
